At Anchored Walls, we install interior drain tile systems designed to manage groundwater before it ever reaches your basement floor.
At Anchored Walls, we install interior drain tile systems designed to manage groundwater before it ever reaches your basement floor. This system relieves hydrostatic pressure, collects water at the footing level, and directs it safely to a sump pump for removal, providing year-round protection for finished and unfinished basements alike.
Water problems in the basement don’t always start with standing water. Often, the signs are subtle at first—until the damage begins to spread. If you're noticing any of the following issues, it could be a sign that water is entering below the surface and that a drain tile system may be necessary.Any of these signs could point to a problem with groundwater pressure around your foundation, and drain tile may be the best way to keep that moisture under control.
Discoloration or moisture along the lower portion of basement walls often indicates that water is entering at the cove joint or migrating through the foundation.
When water starts pushing up through floor cracks, it’s a sign of hydrostatic pressure, an issue that won’t go away with surface sealing or quick fixes.
Persistent dampness leads to stale, musty smells and a heavy feel in the air—conditions that can encourage mold growth and affect indoor air quality.
In finished basements, repeated exposure to moisture can buckle laminate, rot wood, and stain carpet, often before the source of the leak is even identified.
If you find yourself using towels, fans, or a wet/dry vac every time it storms, your basement needs a long-term solution, not another temporary fix.

After getting bids and talking with a few different contractors regarding what we needed for waterproofing our basement, I was feeling pretty overwhelmed, anxious and stressed out. Elliott was a breath of fresh air. He's a very nice, respectful guy. He is very knowledgeable and was easy to talk to. After speaking with him, I felt more at ease and less anxious about the whole process. Because of Elliott, we plan to move forward with Anchored Walls for our basement waterproofing.
Anchored Walls techs, Zach and Kyle, came ready to work!!! They added 9 anchors to 2 of my basement walls to stabilize them. Those 2 men worked hard! I have attached 2 pictures, the first shows shovels over the holes so no one would fall in, and the finished yard. You cannot tell where the holes had been. Both men also added waterproofing to my basement floor. If Zach and Kyle are an example of what to expect when you hire Anchored Walls, then the company gets 5 stars from me. Great work Zach and Kyle !!! * * * * *
I bought an old townhouse and found leakage into the basement under a window well. I had Anchored Walls come out to inspect. Roger diagnosed the problem as 30-yr buildup of silt preventing water from draining down to the tile. He recommended excavation and rebuild with clean pea gravel fill. A 2-man crew accomplished that in half a day. I withheld submitting a review for 2 months until I could see if it fixed the problem. Over the July 4th weekend we got 9 inches of rain. The basement was bone dry. So I was pleased and impressed. The guys from Anchored Walls are experienced and know what they are doing. FIVE STARS!
From the project manager through all the folks working this huge mess, I am so thankful for the job that was completed. Kyle and team put up with all my questions and dealt with temporary fencing for my dogs. Always rrspectful and polite. I can't rate them or Anchored Walls high enough! Also Deb in the office keeping me updated and answering more questions. Lucas and Carson putting in the sump pump. If you have basement issues, definitely call this company!!
Anchored Walls of Winterset stabilized our Basement walls, leveled our driveway, and found an incredible and invisible solution to our 25 year sump pump drain exit. Matt Clayton was consistently kind and patient. He nailed our estimate and was Readily available for questions before, during, and after the project. Debbie was quick, responsive, and friendly to give us speedy and accurate answers to many questions. Finally, Brad was the man who finally solved our 25 year sump pump problem. He was super respectful with my wife, and somehow installed 30 foot of PVC into our yard, leaving zero evidence. You're work is amazing and we are more thankful for you than we can express! All this to say, we strongly recommend and refer Anchored Walls of Winterset. Great job and God bless you for your Efforts.
Interior drain tile is a powerful, hidden solution for managing basement water intrusion. Installed just below the slab, it quietly directs groundwater away from your foundation to prevent damage.
2. Trench Excavation
Cut a trench along the interior wall, exposing the footing where water pressure builds.
3. Weep Hole Drilling
Drill weep holes every 6 inches to release trapped wall moisture into the trench.
4. Drainboard Installation
Install patented Drainboard to channel wall seepage. Optional membrane can be added for extra protection.
5. Clean Stone Fill
Fill the trench with clean, washed pearock to promote flow and prevent clogging.
6. Plastic Wrap Barrier
Cover the trench with a plastic barrier to contain dust and prep for concrete.
7. Sump Pump Integration
Route collected water to a sump pit, where it’s pumped safely away from the foundation.
8. Concrete Restoration
Re-pour concrete flush to the existing slab, leaving a clean, finished surface.
Interior drain tile is often the most practical and effective waterproofing method when exterior excavation isn’t feasible. Homes with high groundwater pressure, persistent seepage along the cove joint, or moisture rising from beneath the slab can all benefit from this system. It’s particularly useful in basements that are already finished or are being prepared for finishing, where protecting flooring, drywall, and personal belongings becomes a top priority.
This solution also works well for properties with limited exterior access, such as narrow lot lines or homes with extensive landscaping or patios that would make outdoor excavation costly and disruptive. In most cases, sealants or exterior coatings only offer temporary solutions. Interior drain tile provides a more permanent fix. By collecting water at the footing level and routing it to a sump pump, the system stops moisture before it can rise to the surface or damage your basement.

“Gabe & Taxson did a wonderful job of waterproofing our basement. They worked so hard chiseling concrete, carrying it up the stairs in buckets, then carrying rock and replacement cement down the stairs to fill in the dug up places, but most of all, they cleaned up the mess!
